Tesla Inc stated it is broadening its auto service centers and adding 350 mobile service vans as it gets ready to support its Model 3 sedan, a mass-market vehicle that is expected to drive a 500 percent boost in the electric vehicle business’s sales. A senior executive talking on behalf of the company informed Reuters that Tesla would be able to triple its worldwide service capability by increasing performance, contributing to mobile service, and including 100 service centers to its present total of over 150.

This year, Tesla is adding 1,400 service technicians and the company plans to continue broadening mobile and service center capacity at a similar speed over then next few years.

Tesla has to expand service quickly to be able to manage the boost in sales and as the electric vehicle company changes itself from a luxury automobile maker into a rival with mainstream vehicles.

Expectations for a smooth present are particularly high among investors. Tesla has been challenging General Motors for the title of greatest U.S. automaker by market capitalization, despite the fact that its output is a portion of GM’s.

The $35,000 Model 3 is developed for simple production, creating lower service requirements, the executive said.

Tesla’s last launch was the Model X SUV in 2015, which had a number of issues with production.

Model 3 production began few days ago and is expected to reach 20,000 monthly in December. The very first deliveries are expected on July 28.

Tesla had fielded 373,000 Model 3 bookings since April last year, the most recent date at which it revealed a figure.
