Three cops killed, two others critical after single car-crash in Muzaffarnagar

A car carrying five police constables in Uttar Pradesh crashed into an electricity pole leaving three of them dead.

The two other cops were seriously injured.

The cops were taken to a nearby hospital where three of them died.

The incident took place in the Mansoorpur area of Muzaffarnagar district on Tuesday.

Two of the deceased cops hailed from Ghaziabad.

All five were on their way to a police outpost. Locals gathered at the accident scene to help the victims and the cops were soon admitted to Begraj Medical College.

The injured cops were later referred to a higher medical facility in Meerut.

The deceased cops include Ajay Vats, 30, Mahendar Singh, 31, posted at Mansoorpur police station in Muzaffarnagar, and Pardeep Kumar, 33, who had been recently transferred to Bijnor.

Naresh Punia, posted in Bijnor, and Parvesh Kumar, posted in Mansoorpur, were the two seriously injured.
