Three dead after truck and sedan crash at Gold Coast intersection

Three people died following a multi-vehicle car crash on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Paramedics were called at about 12:30 pm to the crash site which was at the corner of Arundel Drive and Brisbane Road. Here they found a sedan and a truck towing a boat had crashed.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

A man thought to be in his 50s died in hospital.

A 49-year-old male was admitted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition. Five other people had minor injuries but did not need hospitalization.

Two other vehicles were also damaged in the crash.

Brisbane Road was set to be closed for some hours as officials investigated the crash.
