Three people have died in a two-car crash that took place in the New South Wales central west, resulting in the closure of a major highway.
The crash took place on the Mid Western Highway at Purcell Drive in Woodstock, near Cowra, right after 4 pm.
Two people travelling in one vehicle, and one person in another vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mid Western Highway was closed in both directions and emergency services helped in figuring out the crash.
The Mid Western Highway was later reopened in both directions.
