A mother and two children were killed after a car crash in New South Wales, Australia on Tuesday.

New South Wales police said the family of six, said to be from Laguna in the Hunter Valley, was travelling through Central Mangrove just before 10:00 pm when the vehicle veered off Wisemans Ferry Road and hit a tree.

The woman, 32, along with her six-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son were pronounced dead at the scene.

The other boys, aged 16 months, five, and nine, were flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital. Their conditions were stable.

Police said the investigation involves a passing motorist who may have hit one of the children’s bodies.
