A Toyota dealership in Louisiana took a most unusual trade-in on among its brand-new trucks, the well known Million-Mile Tundra owned by Victor Sheppard.
Sheppard made news several months earlier when his 2007 Tundra’s odometer stopped at 999,999, however it seems like that’s the only piece that’s broken down. After buying the truck brand-new, Sheppard began acquiring the miles, driving in between Louisiana, North Dakota, Virginia, and Wyoming for his task. He averaged about 125,000 miles each year, striking the million mark less than a decade after purchasing the Tundra.
According to Greg LeBlanc Toyota in Houma, Louisiana, Sheppard kept his Tundra well preserved, consisting of timing belt replacements, oil modifications, and manufacturer-recommended maintenance. The truck still sports its original engine, transmission, and paint job. “Most people cannot believe how much on this truck is original,” stated Rod Weimer, the dealership’s general supervisor. “Victor has actually been loyal to his maintenance and kept it up.”
Sheppard traded the 2007 Tundra in on a 2016 model.
