This model will change color like chameleon, as per the driver’s want. The colour-changing model is one of those concept models that Toyota has planed to display at the Tokyo Motor Show this month.
Still a work-in-progress, the vehicle is codenamed as Toyota FV2 presents applications that the engineers envision can come out of the automaker’s research into humanoid robots and their use of facial and voice recognition.
“The car will attract to future consumers of the digital generation, who are used to smartphones or iPads from before,” said Takeo Moriai. “Given that the technology is still at a highly early stage of development, it’s challenging for us to point out the extent to which the car can read commands.”
Toyota joins automakers, like General Motors, when it comes to introducing computer-assisted technology that assists to reduce accidents and human error on the road, and it may even allow cars to drive themselves. Google is also noted to have testing driverless cars in USA.
Moving on Hydrogen
According to the company, The exterior design of the care is inspired by a catamaran and evokes flowing water. The fourseater car will have a range of at minimum 500 km and refuel in as quick as three minutes. Last month, in Japan, the automaker offered test drives of a small, prototype fuel-cell sedan, to automotive media, as the company races to maintain itself as the leader in the technology.
Daimler AG, Honda, Hyundai and General Motors are other automakers that have invested in developing fuel cells, forwarded by the allure of hydrogen as an abundant, low-carbon fuel.
