The Toyota Corolla has been referred to as a cooling device. it’s been described as an eyesore and it’s has gone beyond a point of no return. That was the look one got from the furious looking Toyota Furia Concept that made its debut at the 2013 NAIAS.
The concept, that is the prototype for the the next generation Corolla sedan for the US market, is 181.9 inches (4620mm) long, 71 inches (1805mm) wide and 56.1 inches (1425mm) tall, with a wheelbase of 106.3 inches (2700mm). That makes it 2.6 inches longer, 1.6 inches wider and a bit lower than the current Corolla. in addition to it, the wheelbase is about 4 inches longer than the current US model, meaning a better ride is to be expected.
Its design is based on the recent trend of four-door coupes, meaning it’s got a stylish windshield and a sloped rear window.
The Furia concept has plenty of carbon fiber components and has massive 19-inch wheels to support it.
The Furia concept is going into production very soon with a 1.8 litre engine.
We are eager to learn more about the concept and as the show progresses more details would come out for the public.
Till then stay hooked and do not forget to savor the pictures for your sake.
