China is the last unused resource for the Toyota GT86, which will create quite a stir when it is launched there. So far there has been no information about the GT86 and its entry into the Chinese market, but one needs to know why.
This is going to change and there will be less talk, because Toyota has announced that it will begin selling its newest sportscar in the PRC, from March onwards. The Chinese got the first glimpse of the GT86, at the Beijing Auto Show, which took place last year in April, and followed by which it was paraded around all the major Chinese motor shows, until the end of the year.
The 200 hp boxer engine-powered coupe is set to cost around 300,000 yuan or €37,000.
Once the GT86 becomes available for purchase, it will give Toyota, which ran into trouble due to political imbroglio in china and which lead to the boycott of Japanese cars altogether, a much-needed image boost, as the car is actually very good in all respects.
Let us wait and see what happens at the auto show where every minute detail will revealed to the public and the media.
Till then we can only savor the pictures of this beautiful car.
