Toyota suspends production indefinitely in Vietnam as country enters lockdown

Toyota Motor has halted auto production in Vietnam as the country enters lockdown.

All cities in Vietnam stopped public gatherings and shut non-essential public services until April 15.

Inbound flights have also been stopped and the number of domestic flights have also been decreased.

According to the Vietnamese health ministry, Vietnam has a total of 233 infections and no deaths. Over 75,000 Vietnamese are under quarantine.

On 31 March, Vietnamese government announced a nationwide lockdown of 15 days, starting from April 1.
