The British car manufacturing company TVR is said to make their comeback after a decade. The company is also planning to bring out new models of its brand by 2017 with partners Gordon Murray and Cosworth. The most unique thing about the revival of TVR is that it is going to be the first manufacturing company to use the iStream process of production. This new mechanical design has been taken in the premises of the Gordon Murray Design (GMD) in Shalford, Surrey. “We’ve been totally blown away by the reaction to the new car. Our phone lines and online inquiry system went into meltdown when the news was announced, and we decided that we must begin to bring a structure to the inquiries and build a delivery pipeline well in advance of production,” said operations director John Chasey.
The new TVRs will all have V8s engines and will have a front mid-engined layout which would feature six-speed manual gearboxes, rear-wheel drive, all-independent suspension and driver-focused interiors. Previously the company claimed to produce 2000 units per year, now with a new board of directors and the new iStream process of production would probably enable the company to reach a 1000 units initially and then gradually surpass that. The pricing of these car is predicted to between $60,000 to $80,000 and the company has recently announced a booking deposit of 5000 pounds.
