Two people have been killed in a car crash on the A39 in Somerset, South West England on Friday.
The crash took place on the main coast road between Minehead and Porlock, near the village of Tivington, right before 3.30 pm.
The two people, a man, and a woman were in a Volkswagen Golf, which was involved in a crash with a Mitsubishi Shogun car, being driven by a man.
They were pronounced dead at the scene, while the Shogun driver was taken to hospital. He had serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said the relatives of the dead had been informed.
A39 between Minehead and Porlock had been closed following the accident.
Roads of Somerset have been frequently described among the most dangerous roads in the United Kingdom.
