Two killed after car crash in Hudson, Florida

Two were killed after a car crash on Tuesday morning in Hudson, Florida.

The crash took place when a 62-year-old woman was driving east on the highway when she made a turn into the path of the westbound SUV at Cobblestone Drive. The SUV then hit the car, sending the SUV into the rear of another SUV. The vehicle then spun to a stop on the north shoulder of S.R. 52.

The woman and her passenger, a 54-year-old Port Richey man, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both were using seatbelts.

The driver of the SUV that crashed with the car, a 59-year-old man, and his passenger, a 79-year-old woman, had small injuries.

A 48-year-old male driver from Hudson from the second SUV also had minor injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
