Two killed after car crash in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida

Two people died after a car crash in Lauderdale Lakes, in Florida State Road 7.

The driver who hit a median on State Road 7, crossed over oncoming lanes, and then struck head-on into a covered concrete bus stop, was speeding at the time of the vehicle crash.

According to Broward Sheriff’s Office, both people in the Mercedes-Benz SLK300 were admitted to Broward Health Medical Center, where both succumbed to their injuries.

The incident took place shortly before 2 a.m. on July 3 in the 2500 block of north State Road 7.

The sheriff’s office has not described that fast the Mercedes was running, but did say there was excessive speed.

Little information has been released regarding the victims.

Identities of the involved haven’t been released as of yet.
