Uninsured Lamborghini Aventador seized by UK police

by SpeedLux

Recently the Metropolitan Police underwent an operation that resulted in 180 vehicles being seized and one of them was an uninsured Lamborghini Aventador.

Actually the model in question was initially stopped because it did not have a front licence plates. When further inspected, the police came to know that the driver was in fact not the registered owner of the car and was not covered on the insurance to drive the super car.

Just to give a brief about the model, the Aventador leads Lamborghini’s line-up and features a 6.5 liter V12 engine generating 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. It can achieve the 0 to 100 kmph (0-62 mph) sprint in just 2.9 seconds and can hit a top speed of 350 kmph (217 mph).

This is not the only case, a similar case happened earlier this year with a Tron-inspired Aventador in London when 24-year-old Nasser Al-Thani from Qatar was also driving the super car and that too without getting it insured. The car could face a worst end with the end result being that it getting crushed.

All we can say is if you can afford such an expensive super car, spend a few more bucks and get it insured, atleast in UK.
