Volkswagen on Friday reported the highest-ever September sales for its core name brand, with international registrations increasing 8 percent year-on-year to 593,700 vehicles.
Nine-month deliveries of the automaker’s largest division by sales and income increased 2.7 percent to 4.49 million autos, with gains in China and the Americas balancing out a drop in western Europe, the automaker stated.
“There are likewise clear indications of an upturn in the home market of Germany, present orders are well above the earlier month,” sales chief Juergen Stackmann stated.
