German auto parts provider Webasto on Wednesday will reopen its headquarters close to Munich, it stated on Tuesday after eight of its workers contracted the new coronavirus that is quickly spreading in China and in other parts of the world.
The working place, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities, and sanitary facilities were cleaned and disinfected before employees would get back to work, the company added.
Webasto in January stated a Chinese worker from Shanghai had tested positive for the virus upon returning to China after a visit to the headquarters in the German town of Stockdorf.
Webasto has been developing and producing sunroofs and roof modules for convertibles since 1937. The company generated sales of EUR 3.4 billion ($3.71 billion) in 2018 and employs about 13,400 people worldwide.
