During the recent Circuit de Barcelona event which took place in Barcelona, Spain, an automaker known as Radical had decided to take the veil off its latest creation. The company calls it the SR8 RSX. The car is scheduled for release early 2015 and it is going to be very powerful.
The Radical SR8 RSX is a racecar that takes advantage of a tubular steel chassis that is put into combination with a composite body panel. Also, in order to make sure that the car is light as well as quick enough, Radical has decided to fit the new model with 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels. However, of course, such efficient body design will mean nothing unless it is mated to an efficient yet powerful engine.
Fortunately, speaking of the engine, the car packs a powerful 3.0L engine featuring 8 cylinders in V configuration under its hood. Mated to an automatic 7-speed transmission with paddle shifters, the car should have no significant issues while trying to spit 440 hp of power output as well as 379 Nm of total torque. Also, weighing in at just 860 kg, Radical has made sure that its latest creation will have rapid acceleration, albeit the company does not disclose the exact time the car requires to go from 0 to 60 mph.
Without the VAT, one will have to spend £109,950 to drive this car home. According to the company behind the development of this racecar, the vehicle will need a rebuild of its engine after going for forty hours.
It seems that the SR8 RSX is not the only creation that comes from the automaker Radical. The company has also built another high performance vehicle model it calls the SR3 RSX. This has a 1.5L engine from Suzuki with four inline cylinders. It is capable of spitting out 210 bhp and 168 Nm of power output and torque, respectively. Well, the statistics may not at all be that impressive. However, as reported by the Autocar, the car can actually go from 0 to 60 mph in mere 3.1 seconds. On top of that, it has a top speed of 250 km/h.
