FCA CEO expects earnings increase from strong dollar by year-end

Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA), will begin profiting on its earnings from a latest fortifying of the United States dollar against the euro towards end of the year, the automaker’s CEO stated.

“Let’s hope it lasts as long as possible,” CEO Sergio Marchionne informed press reporters at an occasion at an FCA plant in Cassino, southern Italy.

“The impacts will be felt starting from the end of the year since we still have a great deal of dollar hedging to obtain through. It will also help (high-end sports maker) Ferrari,” he stated.

FCA makes about 85 percent of its profits in North America.
