When it comes to driving a vehicle, be it a bicycle, a motorcycle or even a car, the norm is to drive it forward. After all, how is a person supposed to drive his or her vehicle backwards, right?
Well, that does not seem to be the case for this man from India in particular, though. Unlike most people out there, this guy has been driving his car backwards for tens of years, mind you!
As it turned out, everything began back in the year 2003 when his Fiat started encountering problems. Back then, the man’s Fiat had its gearbox stuck in the reverse gear. Since the car was actually an old car already, this should not come as a surprise, to be honest. However, the man could not do anything about it but he undoubtedly needed to take his car for service at the nearest auto repair shop. So, in order to do that, this Indian man eventually decided that he would drive the car backwards to reach the repair shop. Miraculously enough, the man did reach the repair shop, mind you!
As time goes by, the man becomes more and more confident in doing his backward driving style.
As a matter of fact, he even claims that nowadays, he always feels safer if he drives backwards rather than forward. What makes things even more exciting is that even the state government has decided to grant the man a special permit for driving backwards. And, as for the sake of safety driving, the Indian man in question tries to let other drivers out there know that he is driving his car using the reverse gear by installing a siren that is typically used by an ambulance.
