Burien car crash, hit and run

Authorities are investigated for the driver who made a magnificent crash in front of a Burien home, then fled from the scene.

It was prior 4 a.m. when a car struck into a tree in the 13600 block of 1st Ave. SW and turned over, striking the side of home. By the time cops arrived, the motorist was nowhere to be found.

Tim Gillispie stated he heard a loud thud, and got to see a bumper fly through the air.

“I was just enjoying my retirement and a car comes flying through my front yard while I was watching TV!” he stated. “I was seeing a good old Western however I do not know exactly what it is now!”

He said he saw the motorist run off.

“I saw the head of a man come by my window– it was the driver, clearly,” Gillispie informed. “I went out to attempt and catch him however he was long passed the time I got clothes on and got after him.”

Nobody was injured in the home.
