by Sebastian Bivin

It has been four years since the launch of the A4 and now the German brand  it seems that trying to refresh the old model. Here you can see some spy photos that have surptins the new, slightly modified A4, during the tests. The Audi A4 looks set to borrow design cues and technology from the new A6.

Behind the camouflage , the Avant model pictured here appears to stick closely to the Audi design formula, but with sharper front-end styling including the tapered headlights and refreshed grille from the Audi Q3 and A1. At the rear fresh LED light clusters debut, but the most important changes will be to be inside.

The updated model is expected to benefit from a new and improved MMI control system alongside an increased equipment list that will add features from the more luxurious A6.

We can expect increased economy and lower emissions courtesy of a revised engine line-up, whilst Audi’s forthcoming 3.0-litre twin-turbo TDI engine may make its A4 debut as a high performance diesel flagship.

The on-sale date hasn’t been set yet but it is expected to be later this year, in time for the arrival of the new BMW 3 Series.
