Two people died and eight others were hospitalized after a car crashed into a Washington, D.C., restaurant on Friday.
The crash took place in the afternoon in northwest D.C.
Ten victims were admitted to a local hospital, where two women died due to their injuries. The other eight victims were in stable to serious condition.
All victims are said to have been sitting in the outdoor dining area of the Greek restaurant Parthenon on the sunny D.C. day when the SUV rushed off the road.
The victims aged between 30 to 80.
The building saw no structural damage.
The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia is investigating the crash.
