Two people were killed after a seven-vehicle crash in Rose City, Texas.
The crash took place on Wednesday on Interstate 10 in Rose City at mile marker 858 when a 2004 Ford SUV was moving in the inside lane when its back left tire blew out.
The driver of the Ford SUV had no control over the vehicle when the SUV was hit by a 2015 Dodge pickup that was traveling in the center lane.
Other cars involved in the crash include a 2019 Ford pickup, a 2020 Peterbilt truck tractor semi-trailer, a 2006 Toyota passenger car, a 2021 Hyundai passenger car, and a 2018 Dodge pickup.
The drivers of the Ford SUV and Toyota were admitted to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth for treatment.
The drivers of other vehicles except Hyundai were not injured.
The driver and passenger of the Hyundai passenger car were pronounced dead at the scene.
The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 were closed due to the crash but were later reopened.
Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the crash.
