2 dead after car crashes into tractor-trailer in Bibb County

Two died and another two were injured after a car crash on early Thursday morning in Bibb County, Georgia.

The crash took place around 12:30 a.m. on Broadway at Houston Road.

A car going south on Broadway went over the grass median onto Houston and struck into a Freightliner tractor-trailer stopped at a light. The tractor-trailer then hit Chevy Impala which stopped next to it.

The first car was engulfed with the driver and passenger unable to get out.

They were pronounced dead on the scene by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The 57-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was treated and released on the scene.

The 54-year-old driver of the Impala was admitted to Atrium Health Navicent.

Identities of the victims were not released.
