2 killed, 1 injured after car crash in Dekalb County

Two people died after a single-car crash in Dekalb County, Alabama on Saturday morning.

Individuals identified as Pamela Pike, 51, of Henagar and Julie Lankford, 50, of Ider, were both fatally injured after their car went off the road and struck a tree.

Neither Pike nor Lankford was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Another passenger, Milian Penick, 56, of Henderson, Nevada, was injured and flown to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
