Two people were killed, and one was seriously injured following a car crash on Thursday morning in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
The crash took place around 2:30 a.m. when officers were on a routine patrol in the downtown area of Goldsboro.
Officials observed a car speeding down Carver Street and turned around to probe the incident. After an attempt to catch up to the automobile, officers lost sight of it.
The car was found overturned on railroad tracks behind Holly Street Warehouse.
One person inside the car was admitted to the hospital. Two others were pronounced dead at the scene.
The three victims were aged 12, 13, and 14. Their identities were not provided.
Goldsboro Police Department investigated the crash.
