No problem if you haven’t heard of Avions Voisin. A rare brand it sure is and one that has not been in the news that often. It is either the ones that have an out of the normal auto fetish or the ones who are really old by age that would be familiar with this name.
The firm was founded initially as a manufacturer of planes and that too way back in 1905. They shifted to car making in 1919 and remained in the industrial map for 27 years. The company called quits in 1946. Now, after a long period of oblivion the company is returning to automobile main stream with its A-JT Concept. This concept represents the company’s history along with the changes that the company is willing to make to keep up with the times. Complete details of the car have not yet been revealed.
However, what’s known is that the car could be grouped under the luxury range like that of the Audi A6 and would be available in a limited run scale only like the Bugatti Veyron.
It would be 2011 that the first prototype is expected to hit the world and at the Auto Rai Motor Show event to be held at Amsterdam in Netherland. The event is scheduled to be held in April 2011. So watch this space till then.
