First there were the spy shots of the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and now there are the shots of the 2011 Dodge charger albeit in a tuned up setting as the model comes into the market in a completely new design.

The new face of the Charger gives away what the camouflage holds underneath its cover. The look though is a sleeker and bolder one. The tail lamp is expected to be of the horizontal bar design which is also the one that the Dodge Challenger sports. During testing phase, the car had a 556 HP Cadillac CTS-V installed on it. This engine has been used by Chrysler during performance benchmarking tests for its Charger SRT8.

The present Dodge Charger SRT8 is fitted with a 6.1 liter Hemi V8 which delivers 425 hp. There is however the upgraded version to be fitted which would be a 6.4 liter engine delivering 500 hp or more. The engine is expected to be fitted on all future SRT8 models and that includes the Jeep Grand Cherokee as well as the new generation 300 Sedan and the Challenger.

World debut of the new 2011 Dodge Charger which also includes the SRT8 model is expected to be in November during the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. For price we could take the benchmark of the current Charger SRT8 which is $38,180 and expect some addition to that.
