2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS from Carlsson

by Alex

Looking beyond the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Carlsson made public its package for the brand new 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS. As it is already known to many, Carlsson is the magician in the realm of tuning Mercedes-Benz engines. That indicates to the possibility of the fact that each version of the CLS will be bespoke. Quite as per expectations, the most powerful edition will be based on the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG. The vehicle will get powered by V8 bi-turbo engine and delivering a massive 600 hp (441 kW).

Carlsson gives an assurance of the incorporation of an additional Carlsson C-Tronic DIESEL POWER control unit exclusively for 2012 CLS 350 CDI model. The control unit will vouch for the improvement of the power of the car, shooting it from 265 hp (195kW) to 320 hp (235 kW), while maximum torque will witness an increase from 650 to 780 Newton meter.

If new statistics are to be believed, the coupe will be able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.9 seconds instead of the standard 6.2 seconds, less by 0.3 seconds. The design of the car is completed by a new set of wheels of diameter 20 inch designed by Carlsson but also by the new C-Tronic Suspension which can lower the car by up to 30 millimeters. The interior of the automobile shows traditional craftsmanship by putting to use the finest of materials as in leather, exclusive alcantara, carbon, best root wood, and several other exclusive natural materials.
