2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS spotted with less disguise

by Alex

2011 Mercedes-Benz CLSJust a week ago we brought you spy photos of the next-generation CLS 63 AMG with very heavy disguise.

Now this four door coupe has entered a new testing phase. All the temporary body panels are gone and the only disguise that remains is the black vinyl type of camouflage.

We can see the shape of lights(LEDs of course) and bumpers. Overall shape of the car has not changed much, but it seems that the car is sleeker than current CLS. Side view mirrors are bigger and have been moved to the side of the door(current CLS has the mirrors on on the side window corner).

Compared to the current CLS it has a wider track and according to insiders will be based on the current S-Class.

Top of the line AMG version will likely use the current 6.2-liter V8 with 525 hp. Hybrid version is also expected that will combine a 3.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor and a total output of 299 hp.
