2012 Cadillac SRX will have a new 3.6 liter V6 engine from late summer

by Alex

A new 3.6 liter V6 engine has been plonked under the hood of the 2012 Cadillac SRX.

This engine produces 300 hp or 224 kW / 304 PS and 260 lb ft or 353 Nm of torque. The engine is expected to be available on the car from the later part of this summer. It would be replacing the 2.8 liter V6 which though delivers more power. The choice was between the new 3.6 liter V6 or the 3.0 liter V6 and its the 3.6 liter engine that finally made the cut. This since the 3.0 liter V6 unit has a lower power rating of 256 hp (198 KW / 296 PS) and 223 lb ft or 302 Nm of torque.

All 2012 SRX models would also be fitted with Bluetooth connectivity. The steering wheel would be heated while wheels would be of the 20 inch alloy make. These features are in addition to the performance and premium trim level adjustments that the car would come with.
