The German aftermarket specialists at ABT Sportsline decided to updated the limited-run of the Audi A1 Quattro, and the result is right in front of us.
Even though Audi created the limited run A1 Quattro as the ultimate performance model of its premium sub-compact series. tuners at abt still believe that the model can be upgraded, and hence they did that.
The German tuner’s founder and CEO Hans Jurgen names this car as, the “Little Devil”, usually comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that generates 252hp (256PS / 188 kW) at 6,000rpm and 350Nm (258 lb-ft) of peak torque between 2,500 and 4,500rpm, doing a 0-100km/h sprint time of 5.7 seconds.
An ABT power kit that includes a software upgrade for the four-cylinder engine’s electronic management, helped in boosting the figures to 303Hp (307PS or 226 kW) and 400Nm (332 lb-ft) between 2,500 to 5,000rpm respectively.
The increase in power, comes when accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) and that comes in 5.4 seconds, three tenths of a second faster than the serial version,ABT also says that this power boost does not affect on the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions over the regular A1 Quattro. Well there are no more details than this, stay tuned for more updates.
