The Facebook page of Audi AG’s has already received 100,000 likes in just six months and as a token of appreciation they have released a video with the 2013 Sport Quattro Concept.
The car made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month and represents a follow-up of a concept that was shown way back in 2010 at the Paris Motor Show. The two are a modern interpretation of the original 1984 Sport Quattro and this latest concept is described by the company as a legitimate successor.
Motivation would be provided by a plug-in hybrid setup consisting of a V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine, a disc-shaped electric motor and a revised eight-speed tiptronic gearbox. This setup generates 700 HP (515 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque and helps the model to do a 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) run in 3.7 seconds and can hit a top speed of 189 mph (305 kmph).
It tips the scales at 4,078 lbs (1,850 kg) representing a lot more when compared with previous concept which had a curb weight of 2,866 lbs (1,300 kg). Despite this, the latest concept is 0.2 seconds faster in completing the 0-62 mph run.
