2013 Dodge Viper to carry forward the Dodge Viper saga

The end of the Dodge Viper production has been signaled when its last model rolled off the assembly line recently. It is however not the end of a memorable journey for the journey is to continue with the next generation Dodge models that has been confirmed by the company themselves. Dodge CEO Ralph Gilles has confirmed this bit of news and this was after an official announcement during a private show by Chrysler Dealer.

The next generation Viper would be distinguished with its aggressive design and would have a body work that has been painted 25 times in candy apple red. The general look of the car as per inside sources would be more like a traditional sports car rather than the race car that the present models resemble.

Ralph Gilles, the head of Chrysler’s design even announced some more details of the car to be at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show event. The Viper he mentioned would be the renaissance vehicle for Dodge. The car was intended to attract drivers of 45 years age and younger. He denied the usage of Ferrari brand engine on this car to be. He however did not mention the engine details that would be fitted on this car.

The next Dodge Viper would be seen in 2012 as a 2013 model. As per updates in Autobild received recently, there is the chance of the Viper being fitted with a V8 engine capable of delivering 500 hp.
