Its on everybody’s tongue when it comes to name the luxury American SUV, most will immediately name the Cadillac Escalade. But it is the Lincoln that has a good chance of making a niche for itself by contributing something bigger.
The all-new Lincoln MKC Concept samples a future production SUV or crossover that’s built on the same body as the Ford Escape.
But while the Ford is attractive this clearly has stunning looks.
From the display area itself, we got the clear impression of a totally modern, gorgeous interior. The body of the concept shows the new Lincoln split-grille design, an all-glass roof and frameless doors, It has all design elements that could make the production model a hit with customers.
The only thing thats missing is a decent engine. Just like the Escape, the MKC will be offered with a 2-liter EcoBoost engine and possibly even the 1.6-liter EcoBoost. The Concept is similar to the Range Rover Evoque, So Lincoln might do something else to differentiate itself and validate its high premiums, like a better gearbox or more power from the same engines.
Since it has been displayed at the auto show company officials expect the concept would be a hit and would give them super returns.
