2013 Skoda Octavia Engine Lineup Gets Detailed

The new Skoda Octavia had been unveiled not too long ago, much ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 14th of January, during the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, and there were very limited details about its engine specifications when it had been launched at that time, so now today, we have the detailed information of the engine lineup for the 2013 Skoda Octavia.

On the petrol side, four different turbocharged engines will be available and those are:

1. A 1.2-liter TSI with 86 HP (63 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque. Fuel consumption of 5.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 119 g/km. It also comes with a manual 5-speed transmission.

2. A 1.2-liter TSI Green tec with 105 HP (77 kW) and 175 Nm (129 lb-ft) of torque. Fuel consumption of 4.9 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 114 g/km. As an alternative to the manual six-speed, the engine can be ordered with an automatic DSG seven-speed transmission.

3. A 1.4-liter TSI Green tec with 140 HP (103 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. Fuel Consumption of 1.4 TSI is 5.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions are 121 g/km in combination. It can be combined with a manual six-speed or an automatic DSG seven-speed transmission.

4. A 1.8-liter TSI Green tec with 180 HP (132 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. Fuel consumption of 5.7 l/100 km and CO2 emissions at 131 g per kilometre. It can be combined with, a 7-speed DSG direct shift gearbox.

There will also be four turbocharged diesel engines, which are as follows:

1. A 1.6-liter TDI with 90 HP (66 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. Fuel Consumption of 4.1 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 109 g per kilometre.

2.A 1.6-liter TDI Green tec with 105 HP (77 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. Fuel Consumption of 3.8 l/100 km and CO2 emissions amount to 99 g/km. It comes with manual five-speed transmission, but can be ordered with, automatic DSG seven-speed transmission.

3.A 1.6-liter TDI GreenLine with 110 HP (81 kW). Fuel consumption at 3.4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions at 89 g/km. It is available with a manual six-speed transmission.

4.A 2.0-liter TDI Green tec with 150 HP (110 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. Fuel consumption stands at 4.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 119 g/km. Buyers can choose between, six-speed manual and an automatic DSG double-clutch transmission.

In all EU countries, the new Skoda Octavia will come standard with, a start/stop system and brake energy recovery via the starter generator (Green tec/GreenLine models).
