2014 Chevrolet Corvette C2 driven for 500,000+ miles

by SpeedLux

A second generation Chevrolet Corvette has achieved an amazing milestone when it managed to clock more than 500,000 miles (804,762 km).

Another amazing fact of this achievement is that the mechanic of a second-gen Chevrolet Corvette says that the vehicle had only one owner since 1965 and up until this day it has been his daily driver. The age of the owner is now approaching 70s but he is pretty fit and still continues to use the vehicle equipped with a four-speed manual gearbox, despite getting knee replacement surgery.

The mechanic further revealed that the owner has been in charge of the C2 for a decade now and the vehicle is in almost perfect condition, in spite of the fact that it’s almost half a century old and has travelled for more than 500,000 miles. It rides on 15-inch alloy wheels fully wrapped in 215/70 R15 tires and the only intervention that it needs is a new paintjob since the current one has faded and has lots of chips.

Now that’s what we call a true car fan and the passion to be with something under any circumstances.
