The Italian automaker, Fiat, surely has its own fan base and it seems that its fans may rejoice sometime in the near future. Thing is, the company seems to be prepping a new model, albeit a facelift, for one of its vehicle lineups, the 500. Yes, this is the very first time that the facelifted version of the Fiat 500 is caught on camera.
Spotted in the home country of Fiat, Italy, the facelift variant of the 500 model from the company wears heavy camouflage. The front and rear bumpers can be seen heavily covered and so are the headlamps and taillights of the vehicle. Taking into consideration that the Italian company is only covering the lighting units and the bumpers of the car, it is pretty safe to say that this is indeed a facelift, not an entirely new Fiat 500 vehicle model.
That is for the exterior, now what about the interior? Well, according to industry analysts, changes will not be too significant on the interior, either. They do believe, however, that the vehicle spotted here will be treated with updates for its upholstery as well as for its in-car infotainment system.
Now that the exterior and interior are covered, the next interesting question is what engine that customers can expect to enjoy when they eventually get their hands on this Fiat 500 facelift. Well, it is believed that for such a facelift, all engine options will remain true to the root of the vehicle. This is to say that engine options are likely to be similar with those of its predecessor.
With that being said, customers may expect both gasoline and diesel engines. So far, the Italian automaker has yet to make any confirmation in respect to its upcoming facelift vehicle model. However, there are actually reasons to believe that the 2016 Fiat 500 will debut at next year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Sale may start in late 2015.
