The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said a multi-vehicle accident left three people dead and one person in critical condition on Friday morning.
The vehicle crash was reported just after 6 a.m. at U.S. Highway 177 and East 1350 Road in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.
Officials said one vehicle, a Nissan, traveled northbound on U.S. Highway 177 while another, a Honda, traveled southbound. OHP said the northbound vehicle went left of center and crashed with the southbound vehicle head-on.
The Nissan then halfway rolled over, landed in a ditch, and caught fire. Both males, the driver of the Nissan and his passenger were declared dead at the scene. Their identities haven’t been revealed.
The driver of the Honda, a 55-year-old James Cravens of Shawnee, was also declared dead. Two passengers, a 54-year-old woman and a 16-year-old male juvenile were taken to OU Medical Center.
