Three people were killed and two others were injured after an eight-car crash in Rialto, California on Monday evening.
The crash took place around 6:30 p.m. close to the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Valley Boulevard.
Three people were killed in the crash and two others were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The crash took place when the driver of a Jeep Cherokee was driving at a high rate of speed when they struck the back of two vehicles near the intersection. Those vehicles crashed with several other vehicles and at least two engulfed.
It is yet to be determined what caused the crash.
The crash is being investigated by Rialto Police Department.
