4 dead, 1 injured after car crash in Royalton, New York

Four people were killed after a car crash in the Town of Royalton, New York on Tuesday afternoon. 

Officials were called to the intersection of Slayton Settlement Road and Orangeport Road over this accident which involved two vehicles, just after 3 p.m.

The crash took place when Chevrolet Cruze was traveling west on Slayton Settlement Road when an RV traveling south on Orangeport Road failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed with the Cruze in the intersection. 

Three people in the Cruze, the driver, identified as Austin W. Wilson, 20 of Wilson and two passengers identified as Simon P. Fox, 20, of Medina and William Bernadt IV, 21, of Newfane were killed.

Wilson and Fox were not using seatbelts.

The driver of the RV, identified as Michael H. Duffy, 81, and his passenger identified as Linda E. Duffy, 80, both of Sommerton, SC were admitted to ECMC in critical condition.  Linda E. Duffy succumbed to her injuries.

New York State Police investigated the crash.
