Two people were killed following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Sacramento, California on early Wednesday morning.
The crash took place around 1:10 a.m. after a Toyota Prius took an eastbound off-ramp to Raley Boulevard at a high rate of speed and struck.
Two people were ejected after their car struck a tree and split in half.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
They cleared the site by 3:25 a.m. and traffic was unaffected with the crash.
