Two people died on Wednesday afternoon near Portage, in Wisconsin after their car crossed the centerline of Highway 33 and struck with two semi-tractor trailers traveling in the opposite direction.
The crash took place just before 12:15 p.m in Columbia County when an eastbound 2012 Nissan Sentra crossed the center line and was involved in an accident with two westbound semis.
The sedan was engulfed, and the driver identified as Christina J. Hileman, 37, and the passenger identified as Jekoby D. Hopkins, 25, both of Portage, were killed in the crash.
The two other drivers driving a 2018 Freightliner, and a 2005 Peterbilt were not injured.
The highway was closed for almost four hours.
Wisconsin State Patrol investigated the crash.
