Two people were killed early Wednesday after a vehicle went off Highway 13, crashed and engulfed.
The crash took place about 3:35 a.m. as a vehicle with two occupants traveled south before the vehicle lost control just north of the Redwood Road exit.
The vehicle struck the right-shoulder guardrail and crashed into some trees on the roadway’s right side bordering the highway before it engulfed in flames.
It was a single-vehicle crash.
Identities of the victims haven’t been released yet.
The crash resulted in the closure of one lane of the highway which was later reopened at about 7:30 a.m.
California Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
