Two dead after car crash in Moniteau County

Two people were killed after a car crash in Moniteau County, Missouri on Saturday evening.

The crash took place at 6:58 p.m. when a grain truck was making a left turn onto Cross Lane Road from Route 50 when it was struck from behind by a minivan driven by 70-year-old identified as Richard Manning.

The crash report says Manning and the passenger in the van 74-year-old Mary Manning

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Richard was not using a seat belt but his passenger was.

The driver of the grain truck was not injured in the crash.

Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
