Jaguar E-Type is considered as one of the most beautiful cars in the world(an opinion first uttered by none other than Enzo Ferrari).
UK based Eagle has been restoring, improving and building Jaguar’s masterpiece for over 25 years. Their latest project is called E-Type speedster, and is based on the 1966 E-Type.
E-Type specialists at Eagle fitted it with their Supersports options (stiffer suspension, new brakes and tires) and a new 4.7-liter straight six that develops 300 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque which is available at just 1,750 rpm.
That’s not bad for a car that weighs just 2,420 lbs (1,097 kg). 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) comes in less than five seconds and the top speed is 175 mph (281 km/h).
Main highlights of the body are a new custom-built windscreen, that is lowered and raked back with shaped wind-down side glass and hidden ‘A’ posts. Also sills and the floor pan is lowered. Wheel track has been increased and the wheel arch width is extended.
Cockpit upgrades include a new Corvette style central waterfall, all-aluminum dash and high quality leather. Final touch to this custom E-Type speedster is given with three-spoke spinners.
Even though this E-Type speedster is a one-off example we are sure that Eagle could build one for you if your wallet is thick enough.
