Development work continues on the 2015 MINI Clubman as the model has been caught on camera yet again and this time undergoing testing in Europe.
Dressed in swirly camouflage, the redesigned model is significantly larger as compared to its predecessor and adopts conventional front-hinged rear doors which should improve access to the rear seat. Other highlights of the wagon include a spilt tailgate with side-opening doors.
Talking about the power, the engine options will likely be shared with the Cooper and so choices could include:
A 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with an output of 34 hp (100 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque
A 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel mill that can generate an output of 114 hp (85 kW) and 199 lb-ft (269 Nm) of torque
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 189 hp (141 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an estimated output of 217 hp (162 kW)
The details are limited as of now about the model but we can surely expect the same to be revealed soon and so stay tuned for updates on the same.
