One of the world’s most capable automakers, Koenigsegg, from the land of Germany, is reportedly working on a new vehicle model. It is reported that the vehicle in question will be making its world debut at this year’s upcoming Geneva Motor Show event. Needless to say, it is always exciting to hear more when it comes to the luxury German supercar maker, Koenigsegg, and its upcoming lineups of vehicles.
Unfortunately, quite disappointingly for most car enthusiasts, the company is choosing to seal its lips rather tightly so far. Yet, it is believed that the upcoming model will be slotted as the high performance variant of the standard Agera R. Now, if you remember correctly, back in the year 2014, there was actually a vehicle bearing the Koenigsegg brand that had to suffer from a crash incident at the Nurburgring track. Back then, the vehicle was identified as just the development car of the company’s Agera R. Now, it seems that the development car should have been the prototype of the upcoming Agera RS.
If the upcoming Agera model will be more powerful than its standard R counterpart, it is exciting to see what engine it will actually pack under the hood. For your information, the regular Koenigsegg Agera R features a 5.0L V8 engine with twin turbochargers. The engine is well capable of delivering 1,099 hp and 1,200 Nm of power and torque, respectively. Needless to say, that is extremely powerful. This engine makes it possible for the car to reach the speed mark of 100 km/h from a completely idle position in just 2.9 seconds. And, to reach the speed of 200 km/h from the zero mark, the vehicle barely needs 7.5 seconds. As Koenigsegg claims, the car also has a top speed of 390 km/h, mind you!
