Actor Joe Pantoliano, best known for his playing Ralph Cifaretto on “The Sopranos”, is recovering at his Wilton home after he was hit by a car on Friday.
The actor was on a walk around his neighborhood when a T-bone crash reportedly sent one of the cars sliding down the road, hitting him.
Barry McPherson, Pantoliano’s agent, said that the actor’s family and doctors are monitoring him for any indications of a possible concussion.
Wilton Police Chief John Lynch informed Hearst Connecticut Media that one car turned left onto Carriage Road in front of a vehicle headed south on Route 33, resulting in a collision. Lynch said Pantoliano was involved but couldn’t speak to any specifics in terms of damage.
Two photos posted on Pantoliano’s Instagram page under the username “realjoeypants” showed him with stitches on his head.
“Joey is home recovering,” the caption of the photos noted. “He has a severe head injury and some chest trauma. He is going to be dark for a couple days while recovering. Thank you for all the well wishes and positive vibes. Keep them coming!”
